Girl of the forest; Sarina's version of Mystery Girl ( A book I'm writing) Part three

I stood there sitting next to her, while she cried into my shoulder staining it with with salt tears! And once again it was just like when we were kids, there was nothing I could do or say to change the fact, that she was all I had left of my parents, and that I would never see them again. We were orphans!

I had all these questions going through my head; What will we do now?, Whats going to happen to us now?, Where do we go now?, What if they try to separate us?; all these 'what ifs' and 'what will happen ifs' going through my head! I knew I had to be strong for my sister and our friends! But how?

I held her for another half hour, then it started getting dark, and I knew she was in no condition to be out here in the dark! "Marie, honey, we need to go back to the house now. It's going to be dark soon and will get really cold! Come on lets go?!" I said as I helped her up onto her feet. "I-i-i-i'm so c-c-cold, c-c-c-can you help me b-b-b-b-back to the house?" She said as she trembled and stumbled.

I shrugged and helped her up, before saying "Come on, climb on my back. It'll be easier for you this way!" I said while crouching so she could climb on, then started walking back through the woods towards home. It was just like they were 7 and 4 all over again.

We arrived back at the house around 8:30pm, and were met by Mr & Mrs Malena (our guardians and care takers) at the door. Who only knodded their heads saddly, as i carried Marie to bed, then went back down stairs.

"Sarina, sweetie, while you and Marie were 'out', some people from child services came by and wanted to talk about the 'accident' and about what is going to happen to you girls now!" I stopped dead in my tracks and looked at them blankly as i began to comprehend what they were saying! "You might want to sit down----" They paused as i sat on the edge of the arm of the chair, before continuing, "They wanted to talk to you about, you, Sabrina, Sara, and Marie about going into child services until some relatives or next of kin come to collect you------Sarina, please come back!?" They stopped as I raced out of the room, and out the door.

I ran towards my one and only sanctuary, the one place I went to when the world was bad, my sweet escape!

Girl of the Forest (Sarina's version) Part Two

By the time I made my way out of the school parking lot all the teachers were chasing after me.
But I didn't care!
I ran fast and I ran hard towards my home.

When I reached my house ten or fifteen minuets later, my dogs came and greeted me with their usual happy greetings though a little on the depressed side.

The German Shepherd, Sasha, my mom and dad's guard dog slash gift to me for my 13th birthday came bounding towards me with her tongue hanging out as she ran to me; while family dog Lilly the border collie came running up close behind her, followed by Lila my Golden retriever that I got when I was two years ago when I was 14.

I stood stroking my dog's soft fur for a while while I tried to figure out an excuse why I came home so early and how to tell them that I was fine.
Ten minuets passed before I was ready to go inside and face the heartache all over again.
I opened the door to let the dogs in, then I walked upstairs to my room to try and sort my feelings out. And was joined by Lila, who came in from the doggie door built into my door and curled up next to me on my bed. Not long after I heard a soft tap on the door and it being slowly opened up by Sabrina.

Sabrina walked over to me and sat down beside me. I had my face buried in my pillow while I was crying, to hide them from everyone. "Oh Rina, its okay to cry..... I'm going to miss them to.... They were the first real parents I ever knew!" Sabrina said while trying to sound brave and comforting, though I knew that she was crying as well. I looked up and stroked Lila's fur while wiping my tears away.

It reminded me how when we were smaller at ages 6 and a half and 6, how we would comfort each-other when ever we had problems.

Sabrina hugged me and we stood like that for what seemed like hours upon hours though it was really only ten minuets. Lila stirred and looked up towards the door as Lilly poked her playful head through the doggie door and ran off down the hallway and down the stairs. Minuets later Marie came bursting into the room fuming mad.

We barely had time to wipe our tears away before Marie came in and shattered all of the peace that was in the room. "Sarina! I hate Sara! She said that you told mom and dad that they did not care about us and that is why they took an earlier flight home from New York because of you. Tell me it is not true..... Tell me that Sara is a big fat liar..... Please, please tell me this is all a bad dream and that I'll wake up soon and everything will be the way it has always been," Marie said in hysterics as tears began to streak down her red face, and her whole body began to tremble with hysteria.  I slowly cleared my throat and straightened up saying "I was mad at them for breaking another promise to us and not coming home....... But I never said that they did not care about us, because they did and they still do! Sara is not lying to you. I'm really sorry but this is not a bad dream," I managed to say in a clam soft voice. Marie looked up at me then she turned around and ran out the door. "I got to go Bri... Sorry," I said as I ran out after Marie.

I later found her in our special place by the edge of a small stream that flows by our house.
"Marie, Marie I'm so sorry. I know this is very hard on you as it is Sabrina, Sara, and myself, but we have to work through this. It's not going to get any easier as we go along, but I can promise you that I'm not going anywhere, and I'll be here to help you along this tricky chapter of your life that we are going through," I said as I came up on the other side of her and sat down.

Stay tuned for part three

My world (Another book I'm writing) Part one

"Selina, get up."
I pulled myself out of bed and made a fresh cup of coffee.
I knew it was going to be a long day.
Demetria had been bugging me all night about it so I hardly got any sleep.
I slowly climbed into the shower while the coffee was being made and eased into the hot water.

When I got out of the shower Demetria was pouring the coffee and burning the toast as usual.
"Selina, this is not what it looks like. I can explain. That toaster is possessed!!!" She stammered out as she pulled  the charred black bread out of the toaster and sat down angrily.
I pulled out some more bread and put it in the toaster and it came out perfectly fine, much to the dismay of Demetria who gaped at me.
You see Demetria is not a good cook at all.
"It worked perfectly for me." I said as I made some scrambled eggs to go with the toast.
Demetria just glared at me and reached for the sugar which was actually salt.
I was about to stop her but she had already started pouring it into her coffee.
The next thing that happened was,

Demetria took a sip of her coffee and spat it out while choking.
Then I just burst out laughing and lost it all.

Demetria glared at me agitated and grabbed my napkin.
"I tried to tell you Metri, but you would not let me." I said as I tried to calm myself down.
"You still could have told me! And who switched the sugar and salt? Did you??" She said as she cleaned the table angrily.
"You did, Metri! You switched them." I said as I helped clear the table.

Part one.

Girl of the forest; Sarina's version of Mystery Girl (A book I'm writing.) Part one

I'm sitting here on the branch wondering when they will stop looking for me, I hate it when people think they can take me back, I hate it there in town where they think that I'm a wild and untamed girl yet to be turned into a woman of all things.

The noise is starting to die down and they are starting to give up again, as usual they never caught me.
I slid off the branch and down to the ground, ripped off the heels they had me wearing and slipped on my sneakers, running through the woods with my hair and dress flying through the rain coated air { This was one of the few times I wore a dress.}

I ran with all I had leaving the annoying preppy clothes that threatened to suffocate me, I ran as free as a bird not once turning back. This was my home no matter what they choose to say about it.
My sandy blonde hair now dark because of the rain whipped across my wet shoulders as I ran, I was going home.

I ran through the woods heading straight home not caring if I was in a nice dress, or if it was pouring down rain and I was soaked through.
An hour of running later I came upon what I was seeking, the familiar clearing in the trees and as I approached it I saw my house it nearly brought tears to my eyes, it had almost been a year since I last saw it.

As I climbed the mighty oak on where my home stood I told myself I would never leave this place again for so long.

I got inside and right were I left it was my mother's bible.
I picked it up and I went upstairs.

My name is Sarina Daze and this is my life.
I was not always like this running wild through the woods without a care.
I used to be like any normal teenage girl, going to high school, driver's ed, and homecoming queen.
I had a family that I loved very much. A younger sister, my best friend lived with me along with her twin, and my parents. I was very good at basketball and I kept my younger sister Marie out of trouble when I could.
My life was good or so I thought.
It seems like it was only a week ago since I lost my normal life.
Oh right you don't know that yet.

Well my parents were government agents, so they traveled all over the world which is great when you get to go but in my case I stopped going when I hit 13.
Well anyways they were gone again and I was mad at them for breaking another promise to Marie, Sabrina, Sara, and I. So they came anyway but on their way home from the airport there was a car bomb that did not really do much to them but it stopped their car right in the middle of the highway at the most busiest time of day, We were all in school when they called Sabrina and I out of Biology and they asked us some questions about my family and when we gave them the answers they took us in one of the high-tech police cars, and when we got there we or I should say I was asked to identify the bodies of two adults about my parents age if I could and I was praying not to be right but I identified them as my parents and was right.
Right there in front of Sabrina and I was my parents's life less bodies.

Sabrina fell back into one of the cops arms crying helplessly, I could not believe that right in front of me was my parents and tears would not come for some reason I just stood there dry-eyed staring at their life less bodies unable to cry.
And it all went downhill from there.
When I got home with Sabrina who still could not stop crying, everyone was home.
Marie asked me what is wrong and where we left to.
And I had to be the one who broke the news to her. I said that we had to go on a small trip and then I slowly broke the news to her which was no easy task.
Marie through herself on the couch and started crying while Sara went over to Sabrina and comforted her although she was crying as well.
We had school the next day though only I was sane enough to go.
When I arrived at school everyone looked at me sympathetically and tried to help me with everything.
So I ended up sitting by some new friends that I had made in detention or otherwise known as the Jaguars or the bullies that I slightly converted.
When I sat down at the table Dana asked me if I was okay and if I needed anything. Which I did not dignify with a response more with a glare so she went silent. Jake one of the males at the table looked at me and knew that I was far from alright. When lunch was over I got up and walked to Gym with Dana and Jake.
When we got to gym class they had all kinds of gear and stuff out, so we just leaned against the wall and chatted till the teacher got in.
Mrs Spires called us all together and had us break off into teams so we could do our activities.
When class ended I headed to my last class but was a little late due to taking many detours around sympathetic people. So when I arrived in Psychology I was five minuetes late.
"Miss Daze you are five minuetes late. Oh and how is your family doing?"
I tried to swallow the pain I fealt courseing up my spine, so I just sat down in my desk and tried to get on with my day. I gripped the desk and bit my lip trying to ignore all the people who were around me.
Finally I could not take it anymore and I got up and ran out of the class.
I ran all the way home and hoped that they were all asleep.

Stay tuned for part two.
